A lot of us have this terrible problem of always feeling rushed. Aside from quitting your job/reducing your hours or running away to Alaska to raise sled dogs, there are ways to change your habits, routines, and mindset to reduce this constant feeling of time scarcity. Here are some prompts to start with.
- Which activities do you find most refreshing, and why? Which activities cause you to lose a sense of objectively measurable time, and why do you think this is?
- When do you feel most stressed out in your day? Are there any ways you could change your schedule in order to give yourself more time or reduce the density of tasks during these stressful times?
- What changes could you make to open up more “me time” in your life, and how could this precious “me time” best be filled to promote your own health and happiness?
- Is there anyone you could ask or pay for support to relieve you of domestic work so that you can have more time to engage in rest and leisure?
